ECSite.ai, the AI-native platform for infrastructure lifecycle automation, today announced that Vivek Gnanavelu has joined the company as Vice President of Products – Safety & AI, where he will lead the product vision and development of ECSafety.ai.
Vivek joins ECSite with over 11 years of experience at Ericsson, where he built enterprise-scale Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) software used by some of the world’s largest telecom and industrial organizations. His work has focused on applying AI and data-driven systems to improve safety outcomes, automate compliance, and bring greater visibility to complex, distributed operations.
At ECSite, Vivek will focus on advancing AI-native safety and compliance capabilities for ECSite’s existing customer base – building directly on the platform’s automation capabilities in testing, infrastructure validation, and monitoring. ECSafety is designed as a natural extension of the ECSite platform, enabling customers to manage safety, compliance, and operational performance within a single, unified lifecycle workflow.
ECSafety is initially focused on telecom and data center environments, where ECSite already supports critical infrastructure deployments and operations. By leveraging existing customer relationships and workflows, the platform enables a seamless expansion into safety and compliance without adding operational complexity.
Vivek is also a recognized thought leader at the intersection of AI and workplace safety. He is the author of the internationally bestselling book AI Advantage and a frequent speaker at global safety and technology forums. He holds a Master’s degree in Data Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where he developed a strong foundation in machine learning and large-scale data systems.
“ECSite has always been focused on solving real execution challenges across physical infrastructure,” said Subbu Meiyappan, CEO of ECSite. “With Vivek joining the team, we will have a dedicated leader to advance AI-native safety and compliance into a unified automation solution for our clients.”
“ECSite’s platform approach creates a unique opportunity to embed safety and compliance directly into the infrastructure lifecycle,” said Vivek Gnanavelu, VP of Products – Safety & AI at ECSafety. “I’m excited to continue building ECSafety as an intelligent layer that improves how organizations manage risk and protect their teams.”
Based in Dallas, Texas, Vivek enjoys spending time outdoors, keeping up with his energetic Husky, and chasing after his one-year-old son. Vivek can be contacted at vivek@ecsiteapp.com.
