Strategic acquisition adds patented technology and expands ECSite’s automation capabilities from field testing through validation, cloud-based data processing and closeout
SAN JOSE, CA – September 10, 2026 – ECSite, Inc., a pioneer in AI infrastructure lifecycle automation, today announced that it has acquired Sweepmasters LLC, doing business as SkyBridge Services, a provider of cloud-based processing and reporting of Sweep, PIM and OTDR field test data for carriers worldwide. As part of the transaction, ECSite takes ownership of U.S. Patent No. 7,983,668 B2, “System and method for collecting, archiving, and accessing data on base transceiver station performance.” Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
First filed in 2007, the patent describes an architecture in which performance data captured by a field test instrument is transferred wirelessly to an application on a mobile device and uploaded over a mobile network to a web application, where it can be archived and accessed centrally. This early instrument-to-cloud model anticipated the move toward centralized, cloud-based workflows for field testing, validation and reporting across digital infrastructure. The full patent is available at U.S. Patent No. 7,983,668 B2.
The SweepMasters technology is highly complementary to the ECSite platform. While SweepMasters provided automation through validation and cloud-based reporting, ECSite extends automation to data collection at the source – where field activity happens. ECSite’s platform automates test capture, validation and as-built documentation across coax, fiber and copper for digital infrastructure deployments and manufacturing operations. The acquired technology strengthens that approach from instrument to cloud and from raw field result to validated closeout, while adding patented intellectual property to the ECSite automation stack. Together, the capabilities support a more connected pipeline across antennas, coax, copper and fiber for mobile networks, venues, data centers and other critical infrastructure environments.
“This acquisition strengthens what ECSite delivers across the infrastructure lifecycle,” said Subbu Meiyappan, Founder and CEO of ECSite.ai. “Measurement is only one part of the challenge. The real value comes from automating what happens around it – capturing data at the source, validating results and turning them into documentation infrastructure owners can trust. SweepMasters adds proven technology and important intellectual property to the ECSite platform, while SweepMasters customers gain access to broader end-to-end automation capabilities. As our third acquisition in the last two years, it reflects a deliberate strategy to strengthen the ECSite platform with technologies that improve how digital infrastructure is built, tested and brought into operation.”
The acquisition advances ECSite’s goal of reducing manual processing, improving data integrity and accelerating the path from completed field work to accepted, operational infrastructure.
